You need to register to use our online appointment booking service. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
If you really need to be seen today, please let the receptionists know this. If there is no routine appointment available with a GP they may ask you to come to the surgery to be seen as an “extra” by whichever GP is available to see you first.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice. If they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
Telephone appointments
We also offer telephone appointments for problems which you feel can be dealt with on the phone. The receptionists will take your phone number (mobiles are ok, provided you are not driving) and the doctor will ring back.
Practice nurse appointments
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Home visits
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.30am. If you are physically fit to come to the surgery, you should do so, even if it means getting a taxi or a friend or relative to bring you. Very few children ever need a home visit. Even children who have a fever or are vomiting can be brought quite safely to the surgery.
Cancelling your appointment
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Chaperones
If you would like to have someone with you at your appointment you can either bring someone with you or we can arrange a surgery based chaperone – just let reception know on arrival or when booking.
