My blood pressure review is due?
During the pandemic there are some other ways of reviewing blood pressure rather than attending the surgery in person.
The surgery has a limited supply of automated home blood pressure monitors to take home and record a series of results(for instance 3 readings a day for 3 days) then returning the monitor and readings to the surgery. Please ring the surgery to arrange.
Alternatively if you have access to an automated machine you can do the same. The British and Irish Hypertensive society has a list of approved monitors for home use if you wished to purchase one, which don’t need to be expensive CLICK HERE
Please send your home readings in to the surgery or email to admin.martinsoak@nhs.net
My annual Cholesterol blood test is due?
Generally speaking these can wait until times when it is safer and covid restrictions have eased. In general those people on “statin” medication for their cholesterol it is likely to be pretty stable.
We have a new Patient Participation Group and we decided our first job would be to look at the responses to the Friends & Family returns from patients as this is your voice in feeding back comments (good, bad and sometimes funny, sometimes touching)
This is under review and we will post our comments on your comments as soon as we next meet. Contact us on admin.martinsoak@nhs.net
